Hourglass is a protocol that offers liquidity solutions for time-bound and semi-fungible tokens. It consists of two main components: Hourglass Boost and Hourglass RFQ. In Hourglass Boost, users time-boost their assets and receive time-bound tokens (TBTs) as receipts for assets locked in a vault earning boosted yield. Hourglass RFQ is a marketplace that connects market makers with protocols to trade these tokens, making it easier to unlock liquidity.

Curve Finance specializes in efficient, low-slippage trading of stablecoins on its DEX protocol. Governed by CRV token holders, Curve encourages participation through vote-escrowed CRV for enhanced governance and yield farming rewards. Initially funded without an ICO, Curve leverages venture capital and community-driven efforts to support its growth and liquidity provision incentives.

Yearn Finance optimizes DeFi yield farming through products like Vaults and Earn, automating strategies to maximize user profits while minimizing complexity and gas costs. Governed by YFI token holders, proposals for protocol changes start on the Yearn Finance forum and require over 50% YFI holder approval to pass. The revamped tokenomics introduce a Vote Escrow mechanism for YFI stakers. Founded by Andre Cronje, Yearn Finance did not raise funds or reserve tokens, operating uniquely without private or public funding rounds.

Layer Bank is a noncustodial on-chain lending protocol aiming to be a liquidity hub for EVM-based Layer 2 networks, offering users control over their funds with attractive decentralized market interest rates. Its tokenomics, centered around the $LAB stake, include yield boosting, revenue sharing, and a buyback and burn mechanism to support long-term growth. While governance is currently centralized with decisions made by the LayerBank team, the project has received funding from Manta Network to enhance security and expand its ecosystem.
