Welcome to Superchain Sunday - our weekly newsletter! Every Sunday, we will provide you with the latest news and updates in the world of the Superchain.
The Superchain accounts for over 65.6% of all Layer 2 transactions and sees 15.9M daily transactions. The network boasts 798017 Unique Apps, contributing to the Optimism Collective. It is estimated that 80.4 ETH will be contributed to the Optimism Collective in June. Data Fetched from the Superchain Health Dashboard.
Optimism has introduced an XP Boost for SuperStacks, rewarding users who held at least 0.001 weETH during the June 1 snapshot. If you're eligible, you're now earning double the XP automatically, no action needed. Even better, the multiplier on the weETH-Euler vault has increased from 6× to 8×. The boost is active from June 4 to June 11, giving LPs a chance to stack more XP while supporting key vaults in the Superchain ecosystem.
Alongside the boost, three new SuperStacks pools have launched, each earning XP and deepening crosschain stablecoin liquidity. These include Unichain × Velodrome CL-1 (sUSDC / USD₮₀), Unichain × Uniswap v4 (sUSDC / USD₮₀), and OP Mainnet × Velodrome CL-1 (sUSDC / USD₮₀). It’s a clear signal that the Superchain is treating cross-rollup liquidity as a first-class priority, pushing toward a more composable, connected Ethereum L2 network. World is kicking off a summer full of opportunities for developers, from new grants and rewards to major events and the launch of World Build 2.0. The next phase of World Build starts this July with a focused cohort, hands-on mentorship, and direct access to World’s core teams. If you missed the first round, this is your chance to plug into an ambitious global builder program that’s already seen massive engagement.
In the meantime, World continues to reward its dev community. The Developer Rewards Pilot is distributing $25K weekly based on Mini App usage, the Mini App Grants Program is offering capital to help scale your ideas, and a one-time Retro Reward pool of 1M WLD is thanking early builders who reached 10,000 verified users by May 16. World is also hitting the road this summer, so you can catch them at Edge Esmeralda, EthCC, FEST, and Frontiers. With over 300 Mini Apps live, millions in VC funding, and 1.5 million daily users, the momentum is real. Read the full blog here.
Lisk Surge Sequence 2 is live, bringing fresh rewards and new momentum to the Lisk ecosystem. Over the next three weeks, 252,000 LSK and 80,000 OP will be distributed to accelerate DeFi adoption and deepen liquidity across pools. The first Sequence brought in over $20 million in TVL, and this next phase aims to push that even further with updated incentives, crosschain integrations, and expanded support for stables, ETH, and BTC.
This time around, the spotlight is on FX liquidity. EURCe, Circle’s euro-backed stablecoin, can now be bridged from Base to Lisk and farmed for rewards. New pools are live from Velodrome and Mellow, including pairings like EURCe/USDT0, WETH/LSK, and USDT0/IDRX, plus a dedicated LSK vault. Ready to start earning? Explore live opportunities here.
cLabs, the development lab behind Celo, has just published its updated roadmap outlining the next major milestones for the network. Now operating as a fully integrated Ethereum Layer 2, Celo is doubling down on its mission to scale real-world impact with faster finality, lower fees, and mobile-first accessibility. Upcoming upgrades include the Isthmus hardfork, which brings Celo in sync with Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade, and integrations like EigenDA v2 for faster, more reliable data availability. Work is also underway to explore zero-knowledge fault proofs with OP Succinct, and potentially bring near-instant confirmations and crosschain interoperability through Espresso.
Alongside core protocol improvements, cLabs is evaluating a transition to a new Sepolia-based testnet to simplify developer experience and better align with Ethereum’s ecosystem. These upgrades are planned across Q2 and Q3 2025 and reflect a network evolving to support developers, expand its security model, and contribute to the broader modular rollup future. The Celo community is invited to participate in shaping what comes next through governance, feedback, and testnet experimentation. Read the full roadmap update on the Celo Forum.
LiskDAO and Divvi are excited to launch the Lisk Usage Rewards campaign for June and July 2025. This fully onchain program provides a simple and transparent way to reward builders based on the gas fees their apps generate. Once integrated, Divvi tracks usage directly onchain, making it easy to measure real impact and incentivize meaningful contributions. The goal is to fuel long-term growth by rewarding active apps that drive real usage across the Lisk ecosystem.
A total of 30,000 LSK will be distributed, 15,000 LSK from June 6 to June 30, and another 15,000 LSK from July 1 to July 31. Rewards will be sent automatically each month and announced via LiskDAO socials. It only takes 10–15 minutes to get set up. Want in? Follow these steps to start earning your share.
The Budget Board has released a draft advisory proposal for the Optimism Collective’s DAO Operating Budget for Seasons 8 and 9, recommending a ceiling of 2.3 million OP for DAO operations. The proposal introduces a shift from season-by-season budgeting to a more stable, annual framework that anchors spending to protocol revenue.
Looking forward, the Board outlines a plan to gradually reduce operating spend as a percentage of revenue over the next five years, targeting a decline from 26% in Year 1 to 12.5% by Year 5. Overall, this draft lays the groundwork for a more disciplined and transparent budget process that balances operational stability with room for experimentation and performance incentives.
