Kraken to Integrate Ink

Kraken is integrating the $INK token and Ink Layer 2 protocols into its core product suite, expanding its onchain offerings across trading and payments infrastructure. The move brings high-throughput, low-finality, EVM-compatible systems into production for millions of Kraken users worldwide.

INK will be issued by a subsidiary of the Ink Foundation and distributed through Kraken Drops to active clients and ecosystem participants. More details on the integration and airdrop will be released as development milestones are met. Read more here

BOB Becomes the First Hybrid ZK Rollup

BOB just rolled out a major technical upgrade, becoming the first blockchain to use ZK proofs for fraud resolution and enable validity proofs on demand. This hybrid model blends the low cost of optimistic rollups with the speed and finality of ZK rollups, offering instant withdrawals and permissionless fraud proofs—all powered by OP Kailua, RISC Zero, and Boundless.

It’s a big step toward decentralization, with BOB now meeting key benchmarks for L2BEAT and lowering the barrier for anyone to challenge the chain. A livestream with BOB, Conduit, RISC Zero and others will break it down on July 31.Read all about it here

Boba Network Migrates to Alchemy RaaS

Boba Network, developed by Enya Labs, has officially migrated its rollup infrastructure to Alchemy’s Rollups-as-a-Service (RaaS). Known for its hybrid compute architecture that blends onchain security with offchain performance, Boba is building next-generation apps across DeFi, gaming, AI, and more. But scaling a rollup isn’t just about smart contracts—it’s about reliability, uptime, and performance at scale. That’s where Alchemy came in.

Alchemy’s infrastructure now powers both Boba’s testnet and mainnet. The migration, despite deep custom OP Stack modifications, took under an hour thanks to tight collaboration between Enya Labs and Alchemy’s engineering teams. With Boba now running on production-grade RaaS infrastructure, developers can use familiar Alchemy tools to build on Boba instantly—no new setup needed, no new onboarding. Thrive Grants are also open to builders ready to push the edge of what’s possible onchain. Read more here.
