Uniswap UNIfication Proposal Passes

The UNIfication proposal has officially passed, marking a major shift in how the Uniswap ecosystem is structured and incentivized. With this vote, protocol fees are now turned on and routed into a unified UNI burn mechanism, aligning protocol usage directly with token value. This means that as Uniswap activity grows across v2, v3, v4, and Unichain, more value flows back to the protocol through sustained UNI burns. At the same time, Unichain sequencer fees are also directed into this system, reinforcing a single economic loop that ties volume, infrastructure, and token economics together.

The proposal also reshapes governance and execution by consolidating ecosystem operations under Uniswap Labs, with a clear mandate to focus entirely on protocol growth. Interface, wallet, and API fees are set to zero to drive adoption, while a new growth budget funded from the treasury supports development, partnerships, and liquidity expansion. Combined with innovations like protocol fee discount auctions and aggregator hooks, UNIfication positions Uniswap to compete head on with centralized venues while staying credibly neutral and fully onchain. Soneiuem 2025 Rewind

Soneium wrapped up 2025 with a clear signal of how fast the ecosystem has grown since mainnet launch. Over the year, the network processed 455 million transactions, reached 5.3 million active wallets, supported more than 250 live dApps, and saw 3.4 million contracts deployed. It was a year defined by builders shipping, users showing up, and real onchain activity compounding month after month.

To mark the moment, Soneium introduced Rewind 2025, a personalized view of your own onchain journey across the ecosystem. It highlights your activity, milestones, and impact, turning a year of usage into something you can actually see and own. Check your onchain year here.

Base App Holiday Campaign

Base App has started distributing winnings from its holiday campaign, with rewards sent to over 40,000 eligible accounts. Participants qualified based on regional eligibility, completing Base Verify, and making quality referrals, with higher rewards going to users who invited others that actively joined and participated. A small group also received surprise bonus rewards as an extra holiday thank you.

This was the first reward drop of its kind for the Base app and signals more programs ahead to recognize people who contribute by inviting friends, creating content, or building apps. Base plans to continue rewarding active community members as the ecosystem grows. Download the Base app here to get started.

Epic DAO Approves Institutional Expansion Phase

EPIC has officially entered its next phase of growth after the Epic DAO approved the institutional expansion proposal with 67.7% of votes in favor. The result signals strong community support for moving beyond a consumer-first RWA ecosystem and leaning into deeper institutional alignment. It reflects a shared view that the next wave of real-world asset adoption will be driven by stronger infrastructure, liquidity, and partnerships with established players.

With the vote passed, EPIC now has a clear mandate to accelerate institutional partnerships, expand liquidity support, and scale the platform in line with global RWA adoption trends. This marks a strategic shift from proving product-market fit at the consumer level to building the foundations required for long-term, institution-grade growth. Read the full proposal here.

Celo 2025 Year in Review

Celo Foundation closed out 2025 with a clear message: while much of crypto focused on narratives, Celo focused on delivery. The network hit record adoption, became the number one Layer 2 by daily active users, and emerged as the leading transport layer for USDT, driven by real usage across emerging markets. The migration to Ethereum as an L2, major infrastructure upgrades like the Jello hardfork, and deep integrations with partners such as Opera MiniPay turned Celo into a payments-first network with real product-market fit.

Beyond the metrics, 2025 proved that Celo’s long-term approach works. Stablecoins became everyday money, mobile-first UX scaled globally, and builders shipped across DeFi, identity, and payments without disrupting the user experience. With over a billion lifetime transactions, millions of new users, and a growing developer base, Celo enters 2026 focused on scaling what already works rather than chasing hype.
